The title “Dreaming of James” references the illustration on the cover of the first edition of Roald Dahl’s “James and the Giant Peach,” illustrated by Nancy Ekholm Burkhert.  As the piece progressed, observers kept asking if it were the infamous Peach, and had I read the book. I couldn’t resist. The artwork itself is a second rendition of a previously rendered digital collage depicting a depicting a mock-tinted patent drawing of an unworkable press. In the digital image, the press manages to produce a single drop of juice for a humming bird. In this version,  the product is mere water.
