This piece was painted in the same tonal style as Catnip. It began from a reference to a Facebook photo (permission given, of course). The first step was to drastically change the lighting and background, pushing the colors to be more dramatic than the original. And to assuage the worries of any cat owners out there, the wine glass is entirely fictitious.
