The title “Dreaming of James” references the illustration on the cover of the first edition of Roald Dahl’s “James and the Giant Peach,” illustrated by Nancy Ekholm Burkhert.  As I developed this piece, observers kept asking if it were the infamous Peach, and had I read the book. I couldn’t resist. The artwork itself is a second rendition of a previously rendered digital collage depicting a depicting a mock-tinted patent drawing of an unworkable press. In the digital image, the press manages to produce a single drop of juice for a humming bird. In this version,  the product is mere water.
